If you take the time to read through these pages of my healing journey, you will see the hills and valleys. Those highs and lows continue to take me toward my ultimate goal: one of peace within, one of compassion for others who have been through their own hills and valleys and one of opportunity for all (also known as reform). I strive, at this time, to find that inner peace. Join me as I fail miserably each day but find faith and hope enough to wake the next morning and try again.

Stuff n’Things

Things are going well. I had another conversation with Munchkin on the phone, totally unprompted by D.

D: Do you want to talk to Munchkin’sFirstMom?
Munchkin: Okay! Hi Munchkin’sFirstMom.
Me: Hi Munchkin. What are you doing?
Munchkin: I’m playing with [I forget...]
Munchkin’sFirstMom: That’s fun. Are you having a good day?
Munchkin: Yes.
Munchkin’sFirstMom: Good! Okay, I love you.
Munchkin: I love you, too.
Munchkin’sFirstMom: Bye Munchkin!
Munchkin: Bye.

My heart swells every time she tells me that she loves me. She’s so wonderful. And yet, as I start making plans for her birthday and Christmas (both, obviously, in December), I don’t know what size she’s wearing or what age appropriate toys she would actually like.

There’s always a reminder that I’m not “really” important, isn’t there? That said, I’ll be visiting for an entire week. I love being a WAHM. ;)
