I just reviewed Somebody’s Daughter by Marie Myung-Ok Lee over on AdoptionBlogs. Simply put, you must pick up the book. The story follows a Korean adoptee who was never allowed to embrace her heritage as she travels back to her native country. Simultaneously, her birth mother tells her story, past and present, in a way that moves you to your core. Apart from the well-researched storyline, the descriptions of Korea make me want to jump on a plane. Read the review and then read the book.
