"May the love hidden deep inside your heart find the love waiting in your dreams. May the laughter that you find in your tomorrow wipe away the pain you find in your yesterdays."

This blog is neither pro-adoption nor anti-adoption. This is merely the story of a mother and her journey towards healing.

The Family Tree Book

Anyone know anything about The Family Tree Book (2005) by Caroline Leavitt. (Found it while preparing my review on Girls In Trouble for the birth/first parent blog tomorrow.) The tags on Amazon include adoption (twice) though the description of the book doesn’t mention anything about the subject. I’m wondering if it’s only briefly mentioned and whether it’s in a positive or negative fashion. If either adoptive or birth parents are dissed by it, I’m not interested. However, not knowing, I’m intrigued. Have you heard about it? Librarian friends?

Down and Out?

The family blog is missing in action. Contacting my hosting company, I was informed that they had a hard drive crash and are rebuilding from backup. That may mean that I have lost things and, to be blunt, I’m really peeved. Hopefully we’ll be back up today. Thanks to those that contacted me this morning. Neither blog is going anywhere. (ETA: 1-something-PM: we’re back up. Republished the five posts that were lost. Technology is fun!)
