I’m in need of writing pairs. Say what? I’m going to be vague because I’ve been mentally working on a blog project for quite some time now and it just took a new mental path and I realize that I want to go forward on that path instead of the initial path and, oh, are you confused yet? I’m awesome like that!
Without getting into the nitty-gritty, I need pairs of people. You are to form your own pair, if at all possible, or submit anyways, stating what the other half of your pair would be. What are these pairs to be?
Birth Mom & Adoptive Mom; Step-Mom & Biological Mom; Older Mom & Younger Mom; Stay-at-home-Mom & Work-Outside-Of-Home-Mom; and, really, the list just goes on and on. Basically, I need a MomType and her OppositeMomType, paired together. Both Moms need to be strong writers. If you have an idea for a MomType and the OppositeMomType, it will probably work. (If not, I’ll tell you why.)
For Birth Mom & Adoptive Mom, I’d love to see a collaboration within the family unit but it doesn’t have to be such. Same with Step-Mom and Biological Mom. As for the rest (which includes those two but I’m just offering up ideas), they can be complete strangers that you’ve been lurking on their blogs, friends, family, neighbors and/or enemies. We’re looking for Mothers who are willing to look at two sides of a topic, separately, about once a week (to every other week, depending on how many pairs of MomTypes and OppositeMomTypes we get).
What I need from you: a short explanation of what your MomType and OppositeMomType “characters” are, why you think readers would be interested in listening to the two of you and your opinions on matters of Mothering, Family and Life, and samples of your writing. (I also need short bios from each of you with links to blogs, what not.)
If you can’t think of someone who you’d prefer to be your OppositeMomType, please submit your own information (and samples) and what you’d be looking for in an OppositeMomType. As the need arises, we’ll pair up those who need pairing up (though it makes it easier on us if you come to the table with your own partner!). (And no, it’s not a paid gig, so don’t ask. LOL.)
Please e-mail all submissions to me: mrsjennahatfield@gmail.com with MOMTYPE as the subject. (Yes, caps lock.)
