Pennsylvania, my home state and where my family still resides, sucks. Not just the pot holes. Not just the drivers. The way they treat adoptees? Sucks. Hardcore. Ask Ungrateful Little Bastard. She dictates it well in a disturbing post about the reunion registry. I only hope that our adoption continues to stay open so that the Munchkin never goes through baloney like that! Yes, that’s right. I placed in the great state of PA. By great I mean… not so much.

  1. Blech.

    BOOOO Pennsylvania.

Did you ever notice there is a stop sign on the PA turnpike Somerset?

  2. Tasty Cakes. Philly Pretzels. Philly Cheese steaks. Hoagies. These are a few of my favorite things. It’s my mantra when I get upset over Pennsylvania Adoption Laws. Or potholes. When it comes to adoption law though, we’re medieval.

  3. My Husband, an Ohio native, loves going to visit the Munchkin. While he appreciates my Western PA family, trips to Pittsburgh and potholes (well, not the latter), god, he loves himself a genuine Philly cheesesteak. Oh, and time with the Munchkin. But you know men and food. Good grief!

  4. Let’s not forget our antiquated liquor laws. And the fact that our state was settled by Quakers and we are still feeling that. The adoption thing? HORRENDOUS. It doesn’t surprise me. It’s kinda backwards here in PA.
You’ve got a friend in PA. Unless you are adopted. Then we are going to pretend you don’t exist.
