But for right now, read this little “article” by a member of Bethany’s “Advisory Board.” (Gee, and you all wonder why that particular agency has issues when people with thought processes like this are sitting on an “advisory board.” Eesh.) Yes, my response is the one by “NormalEverydayMom.” I want to expand some more on it. But I need to go make sure I’m not endangering my parented child(ren) by simply existing… even though I’m a heroine. My brain hurts.

Your my “heroine”, Jenna, but it’s got more to do with how you speak up to try to effect change and reform than what that article was talking about.

Also my brain hurts to a bit after reading that and the other responses.

    Well, crap.

What a load. Yanno. There’s so much to say, yet “what a load” kinda sums it up for me.

Ack, I’ve got the snark going pretty good today. Forgive me.

Jenna, you are more controlled than I am… the last part of my response was not nearly as nice as yours:

“Her life is not “better” for where she is now – it is only different. She would be living in my half million dollar home and going to great schools and playing with her brothers on their new trek bikes and xbox 360 or trick or treating in the ritzy neighborhood in her beautiful costume.

None of those things make me a “better” parent than anyone else. But years ago, someone told me that since I didn’t have those things RIGHT THAT SECOND, that I would be a bad parent. That someone else would be better.

And that person, those people were LIARS.”

I really should just stay away from the public stuff for a while – cause this really toasts my buns if you know what I mean.

Nikki Jo’s last blog post..It’s that time of year!
