"May the love hidden deep inside your heart find the love waiting in your dreams. May the laughter that you find in your tomorrow wipe away the pain you find in your yesterdays."

This blog is neither pro-adoption nor anti-adoption. This is merely the story of a mother and her journey towards healing.

Upgraded this Blog

I’ve upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.3.1. It seems to have gone off without a hitch. I do need someone to explain the difference between categories and tags, however, because I’m not quite getting it yet. Other than that, if you see anything technically defunct on the blog: a) please leave a comment and say, “Hey, your blog is broken,” and then b) ignore it after that. Thanks! (The family blog has not been updated yet because our website host has not updated their Fantastico yet. I e-mailed them a few minutes ago.) (Side note: on my dashboard, I “lost” a lot of recent links to the blog. Where did they go?) (Also posting to make sure the Asides still work.)

Please Clear Up Some Confusion

I’m in the middle of some work while the older boy sleeps and the younger boy slams around in my uterus but I need to ask this question. Because I’m seriously and honestly confused.

When did pushing for ethical adoption get you labeled as anti-adoption?  When did this correlation take place? Why does it exist? And why is ethical adoption viewed as negative and/or scary?

My brain isn’t functioning at full-speed today what with the laundry and the cleaning and the playing with fifty billion little trucks and the aforementioned slamming around my uterus. I just wasn’t aware, prior to some tame but revealing discussions, that I was considered anti-adoption because I want to see some (un)ethical things changed and/or improved.

And also, someone really? Come finish my laundry. Why can’t I ever get caught up? Where do these clothes come from? *eyes husband who thinks pants are dirty if you look at them sideways*
