But it’s missing the laughter of an almost four year old.
Why are these celebratory days so hard? Why am I always reminded of who is missing? Will there ever be a holiday, a celebration in which I don’t think, “Gee, the Munchkin would like to participate in this!” Will my heart ever feel at peace with her absence?
Back to smothering my two-year-old with Mommy kisses. And a few extra from his sister.
"The peace we seek to win is not victory over any other people, but the peace that comes with healing in its wings; with compassion for those who have suffered; with understanding for those who have opposed us; with the opportunity for all the peoples." -Richard Nixon
