"May the love hidden deep inside your heart find the love waiting in your dreams. May the laughter that you find in your tomorrow wipe away the pain you find in your yesterdays."

This blog is neither pro-adoption nor anti-adoption. This is merely the story of a mother and her journey towards healing.

Gulp.

I hope I didn’t sound like a “Bitter Birth Mother.” And I hope I spoke well enough. And I hope I got my points across. And and and. Well, it’s over. And I forgot to put deodorant on before the interview. Ooops.

You’ll link it up when it goes live, right? I’m sure you did BEAUTIFULLY because you’re great at this stuff!! Still anxious to hear what you and Husband thought (did he get to watch it, too) and I’m so glad someone’s doing a story on it.

I actually chickened out. I watched the first ten minutes or so and then just gave up.

I know you already did the interview, and I think you already saw this, but my thoughts, not having seen the movie, are summed up here.

I’m sure you did beautifully. :)

=o) Fictional accounts of relinquishment shouldn’t be something that we have to watch in the same way we will watch someone blog through real accounts of actual doing. The poking of our own hurt can do some good if we can reach out to another hurting mama, but this was fiction. Why would I want to watch a poorly written account of relinquishment?

I’m tentatively venturing back here to post — once again hoping I don’t offend anyone but knowing I may inadvertently do that…

I am curious to know if there are any first/birth mothers here who have seen Juno and would be willing to share their thoughts on it (whether here or privately). I ask this as an adoptive mother always seeking to learn more about experiences I did not have and as an academic who writes about (among many other things) representations of adoption in popular culture.
