"May the love hidden deep inside your heart find the love waiting in your dreams. May the laughter that you find in your tomorrow wipe away the pain you find in your yesterdays."

This blog is neither pro-adoption nor anti-adoption. This is merely the story of a mother and her journey towards healing.

Having a Hard Time

I wrote a very long post about various things. And I erased it all.

I’m trying to keep things in perspective. I am trying to be real. I am trying to heal. But darn it, I’m having a hard time. And I hate admitting that. I don’t like feeling hopeless and helpless. Obviously, things aren’t hopeless and I, as strong as I am, am not helpless. But sometimes things just feel that way. Early on a gray morning before the coffee has fully kicked in, I can’t see past the fog.

I’m in a funk. I’m sad. I do feel somewhat “pleased” with myself that the funk hasn’t made me angry or selfish or anything of that nature. I’m just simply down in the dumps. If Spring would just get here already, I think that would greatly improve my mood. Somewhat. Maybe.

I hope.

AdoptionBlogs Hiring

AdoptionBlogs is hiring bloggers for the following topics:

Adoptee
Adoption Search
Crisis Pregnancy
Hoping to Adopt
International Adoption*
Transracial/Transcultural Adoption

*International Adoption bloggers will have to cover one region in addition to the wide scope of IA in general. Regions include Africa (Africa, Ethiopia), Asian (China, Korea, Viet Nam), Central/South America (Guatemala), Eastern Europe (Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine).

Bloggers will be required to write one post, per day, Monday-Saturday. The blogging software allows for pre-writing and publishing at a set time (so you don’t have to be “present” to write a post on Saturdays). Posts are required to be 300 words or more to be considered for payment with the expectation that the average will be around 500 words per post. Covering current events surrounding your topic is encouraged as is creating new, relevant content. While personal stories are welcome, a broader scope of adoption in general is the ultimate goal.

If you are interested in the available positions, please e-mail a cover letter, brief resume and three writing samples that cover your topic(s) to editor@adoptionblogs.com. Questions can also be e-mailed to the same address.

(For my readers specifically: someone you know and love has joined our ranks. Stay tuned!)
